About the Course
This course will begin with a review of middle school math skills and end with basic algebra problem-solving techniques. Students will focus on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing positive and negative numbers, fractions, and decimals, as well as GCF, LCM, graphing, divisibility rules etc. This is a great way to strengthen mathematical concepts before moving onto Algebra I. This class meets once/week, but can be partnered with Math Bookcamp, making it a once a week or twice a week class. Students are welcome to take one or both classes.. Students will be assigned homework after each class.

Dulcinea Stuk
Dulcinea Stuk is a seasoned math specialist who is extremely passionate about math education. Teaching in and out of the classroom since 2010, Dulcinea focuses on building foundational skills needed for middle school and high school while engaging with material that is interesting and engaging to students. Dulcinea loves math, but also brings their love and curiosity for being outdoors, farming, growing food, and community organizing into the classroom, encouraging students to bring their own passions as well!
