Ann Caldwell ~ Director and Co-Founder Ann is a seasoned homeschooling mom of three children. For most of her career she has been a science curriculum specialist. Ann started by teaching chemistry and moved to curriculum evaluation at American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for 8 years. She also spent 3 years developing and teaching elementary science curricula. Ann has a Master’s in education and nearly completed a PhD in science education - made ABD - then her third child (son James) was born. She is looking forward to building the STEM center over the next several years. I and Ann will be teaching Aglebra (1 and 2) 3 levels of Chemistry (Matter & Molecules, Intro to Chemistry, Organiic & Biochemistry), and Physical Science.

Jeanne Robinson ~ Director and Co-Founder Jeanne is is a seasoned homeschooling mom of seven children. She is a yogi and vegetarian by nature and an engineer by training (UMCP). Jeanne has been working in the field of civil engineering for 30+ years. During which she managed multi-million dollar budgets and supervised thousands of employees - training many of them. Additionally, she and her husband have built home additions, decks and custom furnture, as well as their own geodesic home in Cheverly. She loves working with young people and looks forward to meeting your family. Jeanne will be teaching our earlier Math students (Active Math, Numbers & Operations and Pre-Algebra) and 4 types of Engineering classes (Intro to Eng, Mechanical Eng, MakerSpace and Woodworking)

OUR LOCATION
The Cheverly STEM Education Center is conveniently located in the heart of beautiful downtown Cheverly, Maryland. We are easily accessible by the BW Parkway, Rt 50 and the Capital Beltway. We use classrooms in the education wing of the Cheverly United Methodist Church which is walking distance from open fields, basketball courts, playgrounds as well as a nature trail and creek - all of which we take full advantage of.
