About the Course

At the heart of Political Science is the study of how the United States has chosen to distribute power, and how those decisions affect our day-to-day lives. Students will learn about the inner workings of our local and federal level governments, comparing them to historical or potential alternative models of governing and identifying strengths, flaws, and immediate areas for improvement. The major project will entail students collaborating to establish a hypothetical nation, in the process discussing and unpacking the most pressing challenges to creating healthy and equitable political systems. Overall, students will gain knowledge on how each person can assist in creating a political system that truly contains liberty and justice for all.
